JUNGSAEMMOOL Opens Its First Ever Global Flagship Store in Singapore

Situated in a heritage black-and-white bungalow in the heart of Singapore, this is the first global JUNGSAEMMOOL flagship outside of South Korea. It is also the first flagship worldwide to house the three pillars of JUNGSAEMMOOL — retail store, salon, and academy — within the same edifice.

Celebrated K-celebrity makeup artist Jung Saem Mool started her career in the beauty industry painting the faces of iconic international stars from Gianna Jun Ji-hyun to Tang Wei. Riding on her success in makeup artistry, Jung ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing her own beauty business, JUNGSAEMMOOL, in 2015. The cult K-beauty brand swiftly gained acclaim, expanding its footprint across South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and other parts of Asia.

Today marks a significant milestone for JUNGSAEMMOOL — the inauguration of its first-ever global flagship store outside South Korea, nestled within a sophisticated European-style colonial bungalow in a central location at 27 Scotts Road.

“Since deciding to open a store in Singapore, we’ve been searching for the perfect location to showcase JUNGSAEMMOOL for quite some time. We aimed to find a place where people could be captivated by our brand identity and philosophy, fully immersing themselves in the JUNGSAEMMOOL vibe,” Jung shares.

All You Need to Know About Jungsaemmool’s First Global Flagship Facilities

Facilities and services: Level 1

As one steps into the contemporary foyer, one’s eyes are naturally drawn to the store’s centerpiece — a specially constructed abstract sculpture upon showcasing the stars of JUNGSAEMMOOL’s makeup collection. The sculpture’s abstract design drew inspiration from Jung’s fluid hand movements as she delicately wields a brush during makeup application. This foyer will also lead into the sleek retail store, where customers can discover an array of skincare, makeup, hair care, and even children’s collection.

Secluded at the back is the M Space, a versatile chamber designed for potential exhibitions and showcases. It serves as an ideal venue for exclusive events and artist collaborations, providing a platform for innovative expression.

Adjacent to the retail space lies the JUNGSAEMMOOL academy — a backstage glam room reserved for both customers and makeup artists alike. Here, attendees can engage in classes led by JUNGSAEMMOOL trainers, including Jung herself, fostering a platform for learning and creativity.

At the academy, professional classes cater to attendees proficient in makeup skills and techniques, offering insights into Jung’s Personal Color Theory + Key 7 Philosophy. These courses range from $2,000 for a 1-day course to $4,000 for a 2-day course. Regular customers can participate in non-professional classes, available either individually or in groups (price to be confirmed).

Facilities and services: Level 2

As you ascend to Level 2, the first sight to embrace you is the sophisticated Lounge, offering a panoramic view of the lush foliage overlooking Scotts Road. Adorned with retro-inspired furnishings and interior decor, the space provides a comfortable retreat for customers awaiting their salon appointments or seeking respite from their busy schedules.

This private level is exclusively dedicated to the JUNGSAEMMOOL Salon, comprising two distinct and elegant areas — one for professional makeup services and the other for haircuts and styling services — to prep customers for any occasion with the quintessential red-carpet treatment.

A special point to note is that the hair designer and makeup artist leading the salon were recruited directly from the prestigious JUNGSAEMMOOL Salon in Seoul, and bring with them unparalleled expertise in styling renowned Hallyu stars. Additionally, there are plans to further enhance the team by bringing in more seasoned professionals from the Seoul flagship, complementing the already skilled local staff who received direct guidance from Jung herself.

Seeking a treatment fit for top K-drama celebrities? Fans of Jung may also engage the makeup artist to the stars for a personal makeover and consultation session, subject to her availability and schedule.
